Looking for Bert 1901-1975, or Burt Calvin's wife, parents.I'm having a terrible time finding info on him.

They were married March 20, 1893 in Marion County, Indiana

This information was taken from the Census' of 1900, 1910.

In 1930 Bert (Bertie) was 28 years old and still living at home with his parents in Indiana. This is from the Census of 1930 dated 4/11/1930.

In looking for Ora's parents I struck out. In the census of 1880 Ora Calvin was 8 years old and living with Peter Wendel & family. Census does not indicate that he was related to the Wendel family.

Alice W. Boone's parents were William & Sue Boone
William was born 1835 in Indiana and Sue was born in 1839 in Ohio.
They had the following children as of the census of 1880:

Katie, born 1869
Alice W., born 1971
Lewis, born 1873
Franklin, born 1874
Alin (Alan?), born 1876

I found a birth record for Bartholomew County, Indiana indicating that Bert Calvin was born May 24, 1901. His father is Ora Calvin and mother was Alice Boone.

I think Alberta rather than Bert was a mistake on the part of the census enumerator.
In 1920, they were misenumerated with the surname Caber.

Bert is listed as Elberta but is in fact listed as a male.

Here is the 1930 census where son Bert is known as Bertie and is in fact noted as a male

Here is the marriage record for Ora Calvin and Alice Boone. They were married in Marion County, which is the county where the present day Indianapolis is.

So as you can see, Bert is in all of the censuses up to 1930 with his parents, making it hard to find a wife. i hope that the information I did provide though helps a little.

LATER: I found a posting on Genforum that seems to suggest that Ora Calvin was the son of James W. Calvin and Sarah Jane Sadler. Here is the link:

They were married in Bartholomew County, Indiana on June 3, 1869.

The father, James W. Calvin died before 1875 which is why we don't find Ora with his birth family in 1880. The wife remarried in Bartholomew County on May 27, 1875. Here is the marriage record:
