Me and my ex were dating for a couple weeks when she decided she was not ready for a serious relationship. Now were talking again and getting to know each other better but its like i feel her becoming more distant from me. How do i let her know i wont hurt her and get her to let her guard down? How do i get my girlfriend back? Im 17 in high school and i could really see myself settling down with her.

I have been the girl doing this to the guy, I don't know your situation and I don't know your exgirlfriend. But I do know that when I acted this way, it was because I wasn't all that sure if I liked him or not. I ended up keeping him around and then when i found something I didn't like i broke up with him again, and then got back together again. Needless to say it was a mess. I know if I could go back and give myself some advice, and him some advice as well I would have told us both, if you break up, don't date again. There is a reason you break up. That reason wont change just because you get back together.

Also, you are 17, I know you feel all grown up, but this kind of thing is really hard to handle on top of school work and friends and family. Just remember you only get to be 17 once, so enjoy it! Settling down seems like fun, and it is something that is great to look forward to, But right now enjoy being young and free!

Best of luck.

You cant. She has to make that decision herself. I keep thinking the same thing with my ex, How do I get her back? The answer is you dont. If it was meant to be then you would still be together. Did you ever think that her saying she aint ready for a serious relationship might just be her way of letting you go easily? They come and they go, theres plenty more fish in the sea so go out fishing and if she cares about you she will find you.

Don't try to swim backward, you will drown.
open dating or casual dating.
You do not have to be own by a 'girl friend' in order to go out with her and have a good time. You are allowed to date more than one lady at a time.
Exclusive dating should be done with a person you are interested in marrying, WHEN you are ready to marry, your only 17! And after you've known her a good long while.
Be free and Be smart. Sounds like that is exactly what that lady is doing.

just go with the flow. what is the big deal if you don't get her back. you are free agent, and you can date around too. if she is not interested in a relationshio, you have more right to see what is the other option. of course, it can make her jealous, and eventaually, maybe she can realize that she loves you and comes back to you. if she doesn't feel bad about it, then you should move on. very simple.

you are in high school, and you will meet more people in college, and work and social life. it is matter of time. so, no rush in relationship.

Give her the time she needs and don't rush her. If she's not ready, repsect her. She needs to trust you for her to know you won't hurt her, but like she said she's not ready for that. Sometimes in a relatonship the timing not right. Maybe if you guys are good for each other in the future, you will get back when she's ready. Till' then, don't wait up. Your still in highschool and most people around our age don't know what they want. Seems like your girl is one of them.

You need to give her time and space that is the only thing that will work because that is what is going to let her put her guard down be there for her

Whoa, take it slow. Don't limit yourself to one girl just yet. There's plenty girls out there for you, who might be a better suit. You're young, so just have fun. But if you guys wanna get back together, just get her to like you well enough first, not love. Love shouldn't take trying. If it happens it happens. The love will follow soon there after.

Give her time to ease up to you ; )

now, anyone that knows me will be screaming 'YOU HYPOCRITE!' but here goes.

Do nothing.

if she is afraid of being 'too serious' then do your absolute BEST to treat her good and be the best person you possibly can. NOTHING you can do will convince her to 'let her guard down' better than letting her let it down on her own.

If you put her interests ahead of your friends and especially put Halo down for a minute when she is talking to you, you will be fine.
