There is a guy that I work with whom seems to be trying to make overture towards me. The problem is that I am not interested in him in that way. I like him as a person but that's it. The guy has no car, he has 3 kids and I am pretty sure that there is an old lady in the picture.

sometimes the easiest way is the hardest. tell him that you only see him as a friend. period. i had a similar problem and that's what i said. if you go in detail explaining why and so and so, it won't work. so tell him that there is only friendship between you guys. don't worry about hurting his feelings. he'll get over it.

There are several options:

1) Avoid him or act coldly in such a way that he gets the hint. Not everyone will get it, however...

2) Pretend you already have a boyfriend, and talk about him randomly.

3) Just tell him you aren't interested. This is usually the best thing to do if he actually asks you out or otherwise overtly comes on to you.

Well if he ever does say that he likes you..............just tell him that you are not interested, but in a better way.
Its good not to give him the idea that you like him, because if you give the wrong impression, hes probably going to do everything he can to get you.
I dont know what else to say to you.

No matter how 'easy' to try to make it on him, it's going to hit him like a brick wall. Just tell him you're not interested and leave it at that.
