as the other guy said, it depends what music you like and if you want relaxing stuff or stuff to pump you up.

One of my favourite chill songs is "Le Mar (Ocean)" - The Beautiful Girls

But to be more general, i love Jack Johnson, Pete Murray, John Mayer, Ben Harper, Xavier Rudd, John Butler Trio, Howie Day, Jose Gonzalez and Liam Finn.

Enjoy.

I have very eclectic music taste so it depends on whether I am trying to get psyched up or just relaxin'.

For my chilling music I go with: Jack Johnson, Donovan Frankereiter, Timmy Curran (his album is a free download from the Hurley website), Ben Harper, G. Love, Bob Marley, Slightly Stoopid.

For psych up music it's a wide variety: ASG, The Fratellis, The Misfits, The Meteors, Hellbillys, Nekromantix, NIN, Rage Against the Machine, Social Distortion, Public Enemy.

These are few of my favorites.

Dick Dale from the 1960s had great music, as for more recent music, try a group called the Eliminators, or Common Sense. They have been both featured on Planet X ten years ago. Gary Hoey from Endless Summer fame is also great. Also, if you can get your hands on one, the video H30 from Hawaii has great surf music. You can also rely on the Beach Boys from the 1960s as well as Jan And Dean.

in chill mode, bob marley and pink floyd are the classic choice. also armik, costello, gipsy kings, jack johnson, ottmar leibert, and pretty much slow relaxing music with a steady background beat that calms you down after a good session
