the only reason people act that way on here is because no one can see them. if the crazies were all together at a coffee shop they would probably avoid the subjects or leave when it got too heated. there are crazies on both sides, you just have to ignore them and find some rational people to discuss things with.

I don't hate anyone. Just because someone disagrees does not mean they're arguing (misconception held by many). I actually like to read some of the questions and answers, sometimes I learn something new, sometimes I don't. I'm not sure what you think it will escalate to, but I don't believe it will escalate to anything more than it is right now, a difference of opinions/beliefs.

To be quite honest, I believe that if the entire world were to settle upon one belief, regardless of what it was-say, every person on the face of the Earth was Athiest, or if everyone was Christian or Hindu or Whatever-people would simply find something else to argue about, even if the only disagreement left was something small, such as what was better on toast-butter, jam or yogurt.
I can hear it now.
"Butter has always been number one, and that's how it's going to stay!"
"Jam tastes sweeter!"
"Yogurt is hrealthiest!"
"What the krud?!? You can't put yogurt on toast, that's just unnatural!"
And so on.
Sorry, love, but I'm afraid that as long as there are people, there will be fighting and arguing and hatred.
Human nature.
It's sad that some people (of all beliefs) can't evolve beyond that primitive instinct.
I pity them.

Hate is formed out of misconception or bad information. Atheists hate Christians simply because we base everything we believe on the bible (NO DUH). And I will admit that I have seen hate come from some Christians who think they have the "God given moral right" to scream out death, hell, and destruction to people who obviously are not living a Christian life. Either way, I don't care from whose side hate comes from, hate is of the devil. Even if you don’t believe in Satan you have to admit that hate is evil! To that end, I have read the bible (the book of Revelations), I am Christian, and I believe that when the time comes there will be a great war between good and evil whereby all evil will be destroyed along with all the haters no matter what side they were on!
No hate or sin will be allowed in heaven.

Lola, i'm confident thousands and thousands of persons experience the way you do, or have at one time or yet another. For a whilst whilst i grew to become right into a teenager, i presumed there would not be a God yet i grew to become right into a teenager and nevertheless living at domicile. My parents have been religious Catholics, so no way grew to become into I going to broach the concern with them; it may in simple terms reason a combat, and that i grew to become into in many cases skating on skinny ice with them because it grew to become into (issues are completely extra desirable right this moment). yet inspite of the undeniable fact that i ended going to Mass I continually form of believed in God and that i nevertheless do; I in simple terms have faith extra right this moment as a consequence of my very very own studies. yet whilst i'm incorrect, i'm not lacking lots, because of the fact i'm living precisely the comparable way i could stay if i did not have faith in God. I wager many human beings ask your self in some situations all their lives. so which you're form of on the traditional religious progression song, i could say. it is not a selection you need to tension your self to make each time quickly. As you become outdated and notice extra of existence, i think of how you notice religious concerns will cool all the way down to in spite of it seems to be. So do not rigidity. religious progression (for loss of a extra physically powerful term) is a lifelong technique. each little thing will prove the way it is going to. BTW, as a Catholic ,you comprehend it is the 1st and oldest branch of Christianity. Catholics are Christians, lest every person is perplexed on the concern. We worship basically God, no person else. And we don't thump Bibles. many folk do not even very own them; we've not any requirement that individuals learn the Bible in any respect. We thump catechisms.

Itis good to argue and defend your belief or nonbelief.......if you never question your beliefs, it isn't worth much at all. Most atheists and christians are good people who just think entirely different things.....there is no reason why they shouldn't hash out their differences in a public forum. I don't think anything more than a fierce discussion is taking place....which is a good thing for both sides.......hopefully the majority will see that they are more alike than different.

strange, atheists claim the same thing you do, and they still attack christians.
I hate no one. What concerns me is when questions are to a "general population" and the others get offended and answer their "differences" anyway.
Just very little respect and demand to have their say, even when their inquiry isn't asked.

As an atheist from birth I don't really identify with the former christians turned atheist's vitriol directed at Christians, not on a deeply personal level anyway, but I surely understand it...
