Help! I have a two year old cat who used to be wild. I tamed her, but she gets a wild streak every once in a while. When you make her mad, she goes and pees over everything. We've tried the difuser, and everything else. I don't really want to fork out MORE money to try to find a solution....so what can I do? She uses the litter box. Again, it is only if you tick her off. Please help?

Are you sure it's only when she's ticked off? Sometimes there's an underlying problem & comes out when they're mad. Could be a bladder infection (that happened to my kitty). Also it can be their food causing crystals to build up in their bladder. That will cause them to randomly pee on things, sometimes right in front of you...again they're trying to tell you something is wrong.

We had a cat like this, too. It can be very frustrating!!!

Just be as patient as you can and maybe find something she can tear up instead of peeing! Try something with catnip on it and just bring it out when she gets wild...like a paper grocery bag with a catnip toy inside it.

If you spray her with the difuser, it will probably just make her madder!

Love her as much as you can and realize that it's not you she's trying to punish - she just doesn't know any other way to get her wild feelings out!

Be happy she doesn't bite during these times (ours did)! But, we loved her anyway!

You have to understand that this cat was wild. I know you have had her 2 years and have been trying to tame her, but there is no telling how long she had been wild & out on the streets. Or if people were abusive to her. My advice is to love it, feed it, give it lots of TLC and when it gets like this just give it some time and space. I think sometimes animals are kind of like us, certain things they just don't like or make them mad.

Go to www.1800petmeds.com ! They have this stuff that is great for anxiety. It is called Be Serene. You just put a few drops in his water daily. I have a cat that would all of a sudden just bite you. He gave you no warning. I found this stuff and said what the heck lets try it. My cat has totally changed in his behavior. It has worked a miracle. It costs about $20 but it will last a while. Hope that helps. Good Luck.

what makes your cat mad?
what ever it is.... stop doing it!
I just have to say i have had cats all my life and i have worked on a pet store. Your cat has problems! Give the cat some love, don't piss the cat up and good luck.
if i had a cat like that i will sleep with my eyes open lol

I had a girl cat that woke me up in the middle of the night right after I had just changed my bed with clean covers. She got on top of me and meowed in a really weird way and then she pead right on top of me. I was asleep and did not know what happened at first until I felt some warm wetness on my covers. I don't know why that cat did that.

has she been "fixed"?
and like the first answer said- stop ticking her off.
also clean up thoroughly from a spray festival with either an enzyme cleaner especially for urine or white vinegar. otherwise she'll go back to the scent
