Most people Either assume "working out is to hard", or "working out doesn't even help them", working out will always "pay-off" if you actually do it. Theirs many different ways to work out, but thats not what Im here to ask you. You see, the main reason people quit working out is, honestly its too boring. If their was a fun way to work out, im sure everyone would be doing it. Also a large majority of people don't work out, because they think their going to have to stop eating all their favorite foods, you don't have to go on extreme dieting, you just have to cut back. You can basically eat the same stuff, just less of (less is more!). So heres my question for you, What can you do to make working out fun?

you have to set goals and train with a purpose, if you go into the gym just counting reps and sets you won't get anywhere in the sport. you have to set short and long term goals and develop a training program to accomplish those goals. basically you need to be either training for endurance, strength or size as they are all require different approaches

I work out 4 times a week with my sister. We both lift weights at home. I find that working out at home is way easier. You're way less self-conscious, and you don't feel intimidated or anything. So anyways, we usually turn on a CD while we work out, or we just talk in between sets. Working out with her is definitely a lot more fun than by myself, so you might want to try finding a friend/wife/sibling or whatever to work out with. Some days my sister isn't home, or for whatever reason we end up working out seperately. It's a lot more difficult to stay motivated that way. Usually the two of us bug eachother and make sure we do our reps slowly and properly. So I'll admit that I do slack a bit when she's not there. To keep myself entertained on those days, I use my ipod. It's got all my songs on it, and it gives me something to do. I also like working out because I love to improve. It feels so good when you finally up the weight... it pumps you full of adreneline. I'm always trying my hardest. Me and my sister also like to compete in a way. Like, for your legs, a good exercise is to sit with your back against the wall and your knees 90 degrees, as if you were on a chair (but of course, there is no chair). Then we like to see who can hold the position for longer. If you have a treadmill (or you run on the spot) you should try putting it near the TV. That way you can set goals for yourself. Like try running through a half hour program, and start to increase it. Or you could try eating celery when you run, if you're the kind of person who eats while they watch TV.

Sign up for a class. Kickboxing is high energy and the time goes by fast. Pilate's is great for core strengthening and leaves you feeling strong. Committing to a class will make you more likely to continue working out on a regular basis. And signing up with a friend is an even better idea!

Work out with friends, sports you enjoy, gymnastics, skating, riding a bike, riding a scooter, walking a pet, sit ups in front of tv, there are many things to do that makes working out fun! Most people do these things without even realizing they are working out.

Visualize yourself once you're reached your goals and look bigger, be better at your sport, or just look better, whatever it is, go into that weight room with a purpose, or else you'll come out the same way. Go through life with purpose. You only go through once, make you the best you possible.

Don't bother with a traditional workout and play a sport. That will get you the exercise you need right there.
