I chop and freeze onions all the time but never tried celery. Do one stalk and see what happens. If you're just cooking with it I don't see why it wouldn't work. I have a celery keeper that keeps it fresh for weeks but if I didn't, I'd be freezing it.

I cut and freeze celery. I use the vacuum food saver to do it. I have only uses the frozen celery in soups, so I don't know if you would get the same taste as fresh if you were to try to freeze it and eat it with dip.

Freezing celery will make it tasteless when it thaws later on, because of the high water content in celery, I wouldn't recommend it.

yes, chop it put it in an air tight bag, and don't freeze it over 2 weeks in time.
I wouldn't serve it plain after freezing it, but cooking with it will be fine, no one will notice, you'll lose some crispiness to it but in a cooked meal, no ones gonna notice.

I chop and freeze mine all the time. I chop it first, it's easier that way. Even the leafy part can be frozen. When used in recipes, use like fresh, it tastes great! (I use ziplock type freezer bags.)

i wouldnt, i would guess that the celery would start to wilt while it de-thawed, turn brown, and just wouldn't be good or even look too appetizing..
