I Have Noticed The Last Past Few Days That My Two Year Old Daughter Has Body Odor. I'm Not Going To Sit Here And Say That We Give Her A Bath As Much As We Should Because We Live Busy Lives (No Excuse I Know) But None The Less She Atleast Gets A Bath Once Every Other Day. Anyway I Tryed Giving Her A Bath And Within A Few Hours Of Playing (Not Even Rough Play) She Started To Get BO Like A Grown Adult. Sometimes It's So Bad That We Can't Even Stand To Be In The Same Room With Her Without Giving Her A Bath. She Is A Normal Child And Eats Foods That Are Doctor Approved. Fruits, Veggies, Juice, Water And Anything Else That Normal Children Eat. I Just Don't Understand What I Should Do. I Have Read Some Other Peoples Questions About Other Issues Like This One. No I Have Not Tryed Baby Powder. It Just Seems Odd That A Child So Young Could Have This Issue. Any Comments And Insite Would Help. Thanks.

To Be Honest My Daughter Only Wears Clothes When We Go Out For The Most Part. She Once And A While Gets Dressed But She Just Gets Her Clothes All Messy So It's Really No Use Other Then Making More Laundry.

My daughters bathe once every other day, also...nothing wrong with that at all! :) I would suggest a trip or a call to the Dr. My guess is that its just one of those "all kids are different" types of things. The Dr may be able to suggest something you can do though. You try bubble baths? Not a lot, since she is a girl and all, but once in a while, or shower gels, etc...adds just a little bit of a better smell that lasts, or put deoderant on her. My daughters both love to wear deoderant..and some of my body spray, just a little bit...it may help. Sorry I am of no more help but try the deoderant or give the Dr a call. Good Luck!

I glanced at the site Sabrina linked, and I am wondering if it is worse with certain foods. Start a food journal of what she eats and when she seams to have more of an odor. It would be most helpful to note the time of the meal and the time you notice the BO and to rank the BO on a scale of 1-5 with 1 being barley noticeable and 5 being so bad you want to bathe her. Do this until you can get her in to her pediatrician.

I used to baby sit for these 2 girls that were like 7 and they also had bo. I thought it was weird but i didnt say anything because i didnt want to offend the parents. Maybe if they get hot and sweaty bo just develops there...i dont know. I would just make her take a shower or bath everyday and wash the armpits good especially ifs the weather is hot. maybe a little deodorant....they have all natural deodorant that might be good. Good luck!!!!!!

Well my daughter is 5 and she get's BO too. It even bothers her. She'll say "mom my armpit smells like pig" I too give her a bath every other day. Lately I'll put a tad bit of deoderant on her and that seems to help.

That doesn't seem right, I would take her to the Dr. maybe it is something hormonal because a two year old shouldn't be having BO like an adult, even when they are sweaty.

Try A bath everyday and fresh clothing and if this does'nt
work then maybe asking your doctor about this, they may
have some answers.

When I was younger (not 2 by any means) the doctor told my mom that my smell was from hormones. It might be worth bringing up to your doctor because if she has an unusually high level of hormones, that could mean a lot of not good things. Good luck.

At the risk of offending you, ask yourself if her clothes are really clean. If they are, you should really consult your pediatrician this is not normal and could be the sign of something serious.
