just having a debate with my cousin over which dog is bigger, i own a lab retriever and she said she wants a rothweiller dog, she claims a lab is bigger than a rothweiller (sorry i think my spelling for it is wrong), i know they would be fatter dogs but are they taller than a lab? i think that a lab would definately be smaller but she claims a rothweiller would be smaller, anyone want to help me prove my point here so i can wipe it in her face ha ha

I think Rotts are heavier in weight than Labs.

Check out the breed standards. A rottie should be bigger... unless you have a freakishly large lab and an especially runty rottie. In almost every instance a rottie will be bigger if you go by breed standard (in both height and weight):

a well bred rot is BIGGER than a lab in terms of weight/muscle mass and about the same height as a lab in terms fo height to shoulders.
a rot should never be fat!

Labrador- average height is 23in, average weight is 70lbs
rottweiler- average height is 25in, average weight is 115lbs.
Females of both breeds are usually less than the average weight and height.
