Would it work to cover it with white ink a few times and then tan ink?

Well I want to get rid of it because with the career I am going into I cant have it on my neck, wish I would have known that before. Is there anyway to fade it or blend it in?

Katie,

I'm sorry I don't have any advise to offer, but your problem is just exactly what I've been telling folks about tatts above the collarline and below the wrist.

I hope things work out for you.

Some artists use white ink to make tattoos a little less visible, but this is usually only done when they plan on covering the tattoo with something else. http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/White_Ink

You can do laser removal, which is painful and expensive, but in the end you probably aren't going to ever be able to make your neck look like it did before you got the tattoo, sorry. There's a picture of a neck tattoo here: http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Tattoo_removal

I would reccommend covering it up with a new tattoo.

why do you want to cover it? White ink only disguises it a little. why not change the design? Are you sure you want to go thru all that trouble if it is small/

It will only scar it. Your best bet would be to wear turtlenecks.
