We've already taken him to the vet and they gave him some medicine but he's not taking it....we managed to get him to eat some of the meds but he's throwing everything up, even water! What are his chances of surviving? He's very thin and in his vomit I can see little bits of blood. The vet just told us to keep giving him the meds..... :( HELP! What are his chances?

Does your vet know he is still vomiting? If not, call them asap ! He may need fluids subcutaneously and he can give him Reglan to help with his stomach upset. Just make sure he is still drinking fluids so he doesn't get dehydrated.

A Bird of Paradise is a large plant. If he just gulped it he could have an intestinal blockage. He is showing the signs my Pit puppy showed when she swallowed a corn cob. Everything she had, even water came back up. Don't want to scare you but it cost me $3000.00 for the surgery to remove the corn cob. She was about 6 months when it happened and is 4 years old now.
He needs an barium swallow x-ray to find out.

Definitely take him back to the vet if you see blood -
He should be hooked up to an IV to keep him hydrated -
Don't give up hope!
I'm sorry this happened to you guys. :(
