can you get reinfected with molluscum contagiosum after you've already had it and your body's gotten rid of it?

Yes. It's not something you become immune to. It's essentially like a sexually transmitted disease. If you have sex with someone with M.C. after you've been treated, you can get it again. The same is true of gonorrhea, chlamydia, etc.

Maybe its like a cold sore, the virus lies dormant until you get stressed or sick? I sure hope not, lol
