Does your child suffer from febrile seizures?? Can you let me know if you have EVER given him or her anything with artifical sweetners? - meaning flavored water - tang - some kool aids - sunny D.

I wouldn't touch artificial sweeteners with a ten foot pole. Regular sugar is bad enough, but a lot of stories have been flying around about what these artificial sweeteners can do to your body. All you have to do is look it up on the internet and find it out. I attached a few articles below that talks about the side effects of artificial sweeteners if you'd like to get some more information on them. I also attached a website on herbs and seizures if you'd like to find some natural ways to handle them.

my sister who is 14 has suffered from febrile seizures since she was only 18 months and we have never been told that she cant have artifical sweeteners. she has all the stuff you listed very often and has never had any problems because of it.

I work with a couple of children who suffer from these seizures, both are under 12 months and receive nothing but breastmilk and water.
