I personally think it would make sense that atheists would own a bible because you cant go agaisnt something you know nothing about. Instead, you wouldnt comment at all if you hadnt read the Holy Bible.

I dont snoop around, I'm curious as to who owns a bible and whether they've read it and kinda match that up with how they are as a person. I dont ask everybody but if the timing is right, I would.

I am a strong atheist.

Yes, I do have Holy Bible, Quran, and tons of other readings on various Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Paganism, and even Ramtha's New Agism. And for decades I went to studies at churches, sunday schools, retreats, mosques, temples, etc.

Guess what? After all those studies and faith searchings I concluded that the only thing that makes sense is Science. In fact the more I study histories of religions (which I still love to do) the stronger my atheism becomes.

I have a couple of them. I've read them several times, at one point after my dad died to try again to see what it was that he believed or saw in it. Reading the Bible only reinforces my non-belief. I had a really nice Bible when I was about three and one of my mother's friend's kids stole it from me. I got a good beating for accusing her of it too...never did get my damn Bible back.

Yes I do, In fact I have eleven of them.

I have the childrens bible my parents bought me as a child, the NIV Student Bible I bought for my classes in comparative religions classes in college and the other nine bibles of various versions were given to me by various family members because they contain valuable genealogical data. The oldest bible I have is from the late 1700's and belonged to my 4x great grandmother.

An atheist is just someone who does not believe in any god. That is not against religion per se.

I don't believe I have a bible in my home. I haven't looked and if I need one I will just get a free one from any of the places who supply one for free or go online.

Why would an atheist have a bible at home? Do Christians have the Origin of Species at home?

The only place I ever see a bible is in a hotel room. And in the library where I work, because it can be used as a reference book, along with the major religious books of other religions as well.

I have about 6 bibles. Yeah, it's part of the culture in my part of the world, so most people have them.

I have them because I'm an ex-christian and I still reference them when discussing things with christians.

Several versions of the bible and a Concordance too. I bet not many Christians have one of those (probably don't even know what it is).

I bought I Bible when I was in brainwashing church in college. After 12 years catholic, 10 years Assembly, Baptist, Nondenominational I am fed up with the politicing, "believe"-"believe" sermons, and brainwashing. If only agreement is allowed that is brainwashing where people are not allowed to think.
