Either - as long as he's a MAN, knows what loyalty is, understands/believes in/wants committment, wants and is capable of monogamy, is kind to others, cares about his family of origin, possesses the ability to maintain long-lasting friendship with at least one or two other males, isn't lazy and believes in working for a living and providing for his family, is responsible for himself and to his family/friends - - - to list a few qualities that I'd prefer to have in a man - regardless of the color of his collar.
A degree is not an indicator of intelligence or quality of an individual. Some of the most degreed people I know (Ph.D.s, MD's, Accountants and such) are some of the world's biggest idiots, have exceptionally closed minds, are supremely shallow and possess gigantic egos (can you say UNATTRACTIVE?). I desire NONE of that type of thing in a man. (And I do know blue collar jerks too - I'm just saying - while intelligence is important - education does not automatically equal intelligence.)

Educated and intelligent (not always the same thing), and also wise. The problem with being a smart woman is you can only really look up to your man if he is even smarter. My Steve was as much smarter than me as I am to a blue-collar type like my brother-in-law. We had over 20 great years together.
As I have always said, I am kinky for brains. Some girls are kinky for other organs, but I am kinky for brains -- in the head and functioning, of course. I think I just grossed myself out.

You are assuming blue collared men can't be educated or intelligent. At least you can be sure a blue collar man knows how and likes to work with their hands.

I want an intelligent man. A fool can be educated. A blue collar worker can be a genius. Its not about validation. Its about wisdom and ability.

I think education is important, but it all depends on what you do with it. I would choose a man that supports his family and treats me well over an educated man any day. If I could have all three, then even better.
Edit: Hey, I'm glad you got rid of the "aging pretty boy" thing. If I'm not old, then you're not old--and I'm NOT old, lol! :)

I am a very well educated women myself. However, I have found out through the years that the majority of men who say they are "well educated" are lacking something else in their life. They shouldn't boast about their education. Those are the things we girls like to find out about during our first converstations. We've got to have something to talk about on our first outing, otherwise we'll just stare at one another!!!
It's not the education that really counts.....it is what the person is like inside.

I'm glad to see you've changed your theme. Age is a frame of mind, and you are a handsome devil. As to your question, I want a man......period. One who is honest and loyal, faithful, committed, compassionate, dependable, trustworthy, confident in himself, doesn't have trouble expressing himself, his wants and desires. Education is good in the sense that he is mature and responsible, but I've known just as many, if not more, blue-collar workers that are extremely intelligent and learned. While a educated man can probably pull in more money for the household and his family. Money is not everything. I could be happy completely penniless, in a one-room shack as long as he loved me, had respect for our relationship and provided the basic necessities. (Endless fantastic sex would be a definite plus)

As long as he is intelligent, free thinking and treats me with respect I don't prefer one over the other. I date both blue collar and highly educated professionals.
