The real question here is: Which one is legal to hunt with?

Some places won't let you hunt with something that may be inhumane. That's most states. I wouldn't recommend you try either until you're incredibly skilled, as neither of those are a humane way of killing any type of game quickly. If you can find one, sometimes there will be old America meets, people will get together, trade handmade goods, leather, metal, and the like, and some will come for old-style shooting sports, and others come for throwing knife/tomahawk competition. You should give one of those a look and see how you measure up to everyone else as far as skill goes.

Hunting game with either is inhumane and irresponsible.

Fine if this is a theoretical question, but please don't think of subjecting a wild animal to your challenges. Hunters have a responsibility for a sure and quick kill and these tools will not do it.

A tomahawk is not a hunting tool, it's a combat weapon.

Stalking, rather than sitting in a stand over deer trails is very challenging. Bow hunting is a challenge. Muzzleloaders are a challenge. Handguns are a challenge.

The best choice for your purpose in this case would be the spear.* Hunters still use & Hunt with them, but not a tomahawk.*

tomahawk. deffinatly the tomahawk because you need to now exactly how far the target is from you so that you can get the right ammount of rotation. on the other hand the spear would be big and bulky in the woods.

I would have more fun with a tomahawk personally, but the spear would come in close second.

Your own hand made spear or a bow and arrow. Tomahawk not so much fun, kept going over the handlebars bit like choppers they were.

There is a lot less chance of you actually killing the animal with those types of weapons. You should really consider using a gun so you have a better chance of killing it and not just wounding it and it suffering.

Hunt something that has a fighting chance. Sign up to the Marines and go to Iraq.

Tomahawks (the actual term is a hand-ax) isn't used for hunting, rather it's used in the same way a hatchet is.

If you want to go Southeastern, try a blowgun. My people still make them, and they're not hard to come by.

Depends on what you will be hunting for.Bears?Ducks? I would say a spear, because if you get caught by a wild(big)animal, you're done. Not to mean that in a bad way, but what right do we have to take our guns out and kill animals for fun/food? A spear is a bit different.
