Yes it is! I was once in a sandwich shop, standing in line, I observed the young lad with the runny nose, wiping his face, sniffling, breathing all over the food, I stepped out of line...I had no use for booger-loaf!
I usually am very weird about what is happening with my food, I normally eat-in for that reason. It causes me great anxiety if I even here a cough from the kitchen! Being a chef, I also practice cleanliness in the kitchen...

Gross. I'm sure that is against health codes- to wipe their nose then make food. One would think that companies would make it mandatory to wear gloves. I'm sure you heard about the finger in the chili out here in northern california- food stores should make it mandatory so their backs are covered.

It depends. In some states it is, in others it's not. Most states say that as long as you wash your hands its okay to not wear gloves.
But most states do require people touching raw meat to wear gloves and change them after touching raw meat.
But common sense would say to wash hands after wiping nose.

it depends on the state.... NY state requires it by state law!! and a place can be shut down by the health dept.for not doing so..... Florida dosent require it by law but some companies require it, mostly corporations like subway.... call the 800 number listed on their website and ask if it is a requirement..... if so, complain.... i am sure the corporation would want to know about it!!!
