I attended church the Sabbath before last but was sick last week.^^ Yeah, I enjoy my local church; but since having moved here recently, I don't really know a lot of ppl yet. That's OK 'cuz I go to worship God as my main priority.

Less than 24 hours. Terrific- sang in a Christmas Cantata and told the pastor I had 1 years' perfect attendance at that
church since moving to town. Hope everyone finds the joy God has for them. Merry Christmas!

It's been a bit over 24 hours since I was in church. I felt good after the service, and was glad that I went (although I almost didnt, due to bad weather and the fact that I was really tired).

Saturday was the last time. I go almost every week in the last year out of 52 weeks I think I have only missed about 2 weeks. Usually love going to church but this last week was kinda dull as it was our Christmas program and I do not agree with Christmas observance

Two months ago. My mother died in January and this church, her church, carried out the funeral as she was a member of the congregation. Well known to them as far as I know, she was mentioned in a ship of fools report- see below.
Two months ago we had a memorial service. Too long, too boring, no welcome or personal condolences given. It had the makings of being a good event but they screwed up.
Two days ago I received a Christmas card from them for mum. Nearly a year after the funeral and this card turns up. I had already written to them because they had previously sent out the magazine to her after the funeral.
It's a little thing but it is so easy to get it right.
Prior to that I went to a Christmas service, midnight mass thingy. About the start of the Iraq war. The minister prayed for our boys to keep them safe. No mention of any others. No mention of civilians caught up in the horror of it all. made me want to shout out in protest.
No wonder I have no time for them.

About 2 weeks. I kinda felt that I was out of touch or that I didn't exactly belong there. I am a struggling Trinitarian, so that may be it, Satan might have been trying to convince me to leave the body of Christ, or maybe I just need to find a church that is more my style.

Too long, no excuse. But I do feel better when I do go. I do like watching Dr. Charles Stanley and John Hagee as well as Rabbi Mosha Loura on Sundays and I really feel great after that!

October 28th and it was for the first memorial service for my mother. I was disgusted by the hypocricy displayed by the celebrant in refusing to acknowledge that she was the widow of an Orthodox Christian priest even though he insists his wife have that acknowledgement......
If it was not out of respect for the memory of my mother I would never set foot in that building ever again.....
(this is not a blanket condemnation of Orthodox Christianity, just that community)

A couple weeks ago. I know I should go every Sunday, but I have other obligations that require me to do stuff on Sundays. After that service felt like I had a prayer answered, long story, but I got my answer then.

Yesterday evening. It was a Communal Penance Service and I felt lighter and peaceful.
