Have you ever gotten a Swedish/deep massage, hot stone massage, or a chair massage? If so, which one did you get? Did you enjoy it? Did it help relax you? Is there anything one should know before getting any of these massages? Is there any other kinds of massages you reccomend getting?

I am going to school for massage therapy right now and all of it is great. It depends on what you need done to determine what kind of massage you want. I think if you want a very nice relaxing massage try a massage called Esalen massage. It is great. I learned how to do it last week in school. My personal favorite are sports massage if ( your a sports kind of person), Lomi Lomi Massage ( great if you go to Hawaii), raindrop therapy, reflexolgoy.. and there are so many more. Hot stone is done a lot in Spas. But just to let you no some massages are not just to relax you. There is a type called Deep Tissue that hurts a lot if you have trigger points which are knots in your muscles. But they feel so great when they are taken out. So make sure you go to a professional massage therapist that is certified and ask if they are Nationally certified too with insurance. If you have any questions just message me.

I like Swedish massage, Shiatsu massage, therapeutic massage, and chair massage.

Chair massage is cheaper than a regular massage.

I am a licensed massage therapist. Depending on their illness it is great to massage patients who are wheel chair bound. You work muscles that they never use also there is over compensation to other muscles due to their confinement to a wheelchair. Yes, it is uncomfortable at first but it is possible and can be done. When I was in school I was taught how to work with handicap people. I found that most wheelchair bound clients come with someone and they can help you getting them on and off the table and turning them. Remember we are the professionals here. I also found most wheelchair bound patients are very self sufficient regarding dressing and undressing. If they do they can do that I give them a sheet to wrap up in after undressing and help them over to the table and help them on and off with sheet wrapped around them. I also suggest that you talk to one of your professors or instructor for their input and advice as well. Best of luck!! Honestly these people do need a massage and it is rewarding.
