Yes you can go to 1 John 4:8 and read that. I understand that most so called Christians do not practice what Jesus says to love God and their neighbors. There are many hypocrites who do not practice what they preach.
You can find truth by reading and applying Bible principles. You can study the Bible with the people that come to your door offering free home Bible studies. This group also abhors the hyprocrisy of those who call themselves Christian but do not act like one.
