Ok, it says "Thou thalt not suffer a witch to die." But the "Witch" part was really supposed to be translated to "prisoner". Either way you translate it, does this make it moral to kill either of them? A prisoner is anyone who is detained for any crime.

LIKE I SAID... in your post 2 minutes ago... It doesn't matter whether it says witch, poisoner, prisoner, or evil pastor!!!
The Old Testiment was concerned with dishing out rightful Justice. If you are a witch (or poisoner) you absolutely deserve to die.
Right after it it mentions if you have sexual relations with an animal, you should be put to death.
Right after that, it says whoever sacrifices to any other God other than the True God shall also die.
It was a heck of a time before God allowed us to understand His Amazing Grace (in the New Testament) wasn't it?
If it wasnt for Jesus... we would all need to immediately be put to death. Yes me. Yes you. Yes even the Pope.
We can't even begin to measure up to the 10 Commandments.
Now perhaps you are on your way to better understanding why mankind is/was in such a dire need for a Savior... and we have one in Jesus Christ.

Even IF that particular verse was mistranslated, there are several others that state plainly that people practicing divination or other spiritistic practices should be killed.
But that was the old law. Believer no longer kill others who don't share their views. We do not associate with them though and we definitely don't participate in their beliefs. Because Old law or New, such things displease God.

My suggestion would to do away with that worthless fable. It and other books of the Pentatuch have done nothing but cause this world thousands of years of misery.
Don't worry about Witches or Muslims or whatever else the so-called Evangelicals want you to worry about. Imitate Christ and try to become close to the GodHead. Thats all that is needed. These books of rules are a waste.

It says POISONER, and it's not a mistranslation. King James changed it because he was afraid of witches. And back in the days of the Bible, do you find it all that unusual that they would command followers to kill someone caught poisoning well water?

The christians killed thousands of "witches" but would not have bothered if the bible had bee translated properly. Oh well, that's alright then.

First off the poor women they killed were not witches.
They were reformers and because they were women they were burned to death.
Sound like muslims but they christians that did these shameful acts. May YHWH forgive them,but never trust them.

It says " thou shalt not suffer a witch to live". We cant put people to death in these days, and judgment is in the hands of god, so therefore stay away from people that deal with witchcraft,or any such like

The verse actually reads, "You shall not allow a sorceress to live."
The Israelites were set apart for God and hence prohibited from associating with those that worshipped false gods and practiced witchcraft.

If someone is poisoning the well and killing people, execution may have been quite a just punishment.
