I just got back from the dentiest and my lip is num how can I take the numness away as quickas possible it really bothers me

Ah, I had a filling replaced and was looking forward to having half my face numb, get some sympathy and dribble when I drink. However no such luck! My Dentist has some new system where all he does is numb the actual tooth, leaving everything else normal. I was so disappointed, complained and he said 'If you step back in I can numb your entire face if you want!' I do not know what the new system is, except many of his fellow Dentists do not like using it, while he thinks its far better. I am undecided, but I am 49, so does that count? Good Luck
