Two more weeks of heat and it is impossible to determine how many puppies she will have. Also, I would like to point out that she is still too young to be bred. Spay your dog and leave breeding to those that will take the time to research breeding correctly.

Spay your dog.
Your dog: Have you had her hips and elbows checked for dysplasia? Did she get two negatives? Has your dog competed in show or field trials? Has she won titles? Has she even been evaluated by a vet?
Stud dog: Same as above.
You: Do you know the breed standard for labradors? Have you consulted reputable breeders before you attempted to breed her? Have you talked to your vet about breeding? Have you done anything other than putting two dogs together and letting them go at it?
Your dog is way too young to be bred. She should be at least three before having her first litter and shouldn't be bred every time she goes into heat. She should earn titles and be of a quality blood line, as well as meeting the breed standard.
Why on earth would you breed your dog when there are thousands of adorable, good tempered labradors (and every other breed) dying every day in shelters across the U.S.? Labs are the number one dog bred by backyard breeders (which I am going to take a leap and say that you are - okay maybe it was a short hop). Every year 3-4 million dogs are euthanized in shelters. Only 1 in 8 puppies born will see their first birthday in a loving home - only 1 in 20 kittens. The rest will die as strays or be put down in shelters or will run the streets trying to find enough food to survive.
Stop using your dog like a vending machine to turn a quick buck. You have no business breeding.

Unfortunately, she'll be in heat roughly 21 days.
But, as its been said, she shouldn't be bred for several reasons
1. She's too young
2. You don't know what you are doing.
There are thousands of pet quality labs who are being killed in shelters TODAY alone. Don't breed your dog. It would make you a really really bad person.
I work for rescue groups and I have a couple questions for you to help me educate people better. Could you help me?
1. As a BYB, why do you feel the AKC rules and The Labrador Club's codes of ethics and rules do not apply to you?
a. You are above ethics
b. You aren't part of the overpopulation problem
c. No one should tell you what to do
d. Another reason (please specify)
e. You feel that any dog should be bred
f. You didn't know you were a BYB and that the AKC and The Labrador Club's rules prohibit this type of breeding.
2. As a BYB, why do you think that it's ok to breed pet quality mutts recklessly when 10000 animals a day die in shelters?
a. You don't care about those dogs
b. You just want to make money
c. You don't care about your dogs
d. Another reason (please specify)
3. Lots of people don't want spay/neuter laws - instead, they want education. But, from what I've seen on here, when you try to educate BYBs, they just swear and scream and ignore you, no matter how Nice or Mean you are. So, what would it take for you to stop breeding irresponsibly?
a. Your dogs die
b. You create legless dogs like these: http://www.nsalamerica.org/campaigns/chihuahuas/
c. You get sued for selling poor quality animals
d. Your Labrador Club asks you to stop breeding
e. The AKC asks you to stop breeding
f. Another option (please specify)
Thanks for your help.

She will be in heat for at least another 2 weeks or so...It isn't a good idea for her to bred so yound but sometimes it happens. I had a dog that was bred when she was a little over a year old and she had 7 puppies. They were all healthy but sometimes if the dog is yound the first litter could be sick or unhealthy. Good luck hope everything works out for you.

Shes too young to breed, and if you have to ask questions on YA, you shouldn't be breeding.
There are 17,000+ Labradors (pure breed, pet and show quality) on Petfinder.com
Thousands of pure breed Labradors are being euthanized in shelters every DAY across America.
WHY ARE YOU BREEDING MORE UNWANTED LABRADOR PUPPIES--ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT YOU ARE DOING?????????
People like you really piss me off! Perhaps you should take a tour of your local animal shelter and look into the eyes of all the Labradors waiting to be adopted or worse, killed, and then tell me it's OK for you to be selfish and breed your dog anyway.

If it's only her second time being in heat, she is still too young to be having puppies.
How many she will have is unpredictable.
She will be in heat for at least another two weeks.
Since you don't know even this BASIC information, you need to spay her as soon as her heat is over, as you don't know anywhere near enough to be breeding.

Gee....how responsible of you to breed her on her first heat!!! Glad she did not get pregnant!!! Maybe waiting until she is physically and mentally mautre at TWO YEARS would be better. Guess you are not doing any health clearances either, huh???
And if you think people on the computer can tell you how many puppies she will have, you really are a clueless BYB.

Another 2 weeks at least.. You should wait til she is at very least 2 years old before you breed her.. We got a whole bunch of badly bred labs out there now.. Might want to wait several years before you add to that.. She will have 1 very sickly puppy probably.
