You didn't really give enough information. Determining alcoholism isn't based on how much you drink or even how often. The main signs of alcoholism are that you have an uncontrollable desire to drink. It could be daily or it could be only during stressful situations. Here are a few warning signs, you have to decide if you fit the description.

1. Uncontrollable need to drink.

2. Feeling you can make it through something (your day, the weekend, etc.) without drinking.

3. Drinking has caused problems in your personal life, or at work at some point.

4. It is a financial burden.

Well do you feel like you are shaking on the inside? Do you get dry heaves when you know you are going to drink? Do you think about drinking during your day? Can you stop at only one? Are you the "life" of the party when you are around your friends and you all are drinking?
I am not a Doctor, nor can I diagnose a condition. But I had a brother who could answer yes to all those questions and he was an alcoholic.
Remember though even if you say no to all of them it does not mean you are not. Alcohol effects people in different ways.

Sounds like a lot to me, not neccesarily saying you're an alcoholic but a "non-alcoholic" doesn't drink every night. Most people only drink on weekends or when they're off. If you're drinking by yourself then I would for sure say so.

If those 4-5 drinks per day are in a 16 ounce shot glass, then you may have a problem.

4-5 drinks per day, every day, is a lot. What happens if you don't drink for a day or two? Can you?

Stop drinking for several days.
If you still think about the cocktails, if you crave them, if your home-life and/or work is affected (i.e., calling in sick or being antisocial) then yes you are an alcoholic.

If you just carry on your life with no problem, then probably not, but you're not doing your health any favors.
