How can my mom trust me?

there is this boy i like, he likes me! wwe are 14. He got his stomach pumped this summer from alcohal poisioning. Since then i swear he is perfect and never does anything! My mom has trust issues with letting me go out with him. I go to an all girls private school and he goes to an all boys private school down the road. We never see each other on the weekdays but we talk alot. So when weekends come all we want to do is hang out! My mom lets me go but im just mad she doesnt trust me! im ssmart and have a good head on my shoulders, what should i do?

Your mother is going to worry about this kid, until he proves to her that he has changed. You should bring him around your mom to show her that he is a good guy. Otherwise, she will not have any reason to change her views on him.

It's not you your mother doesn't trust, but him ...and your current level of experience. Let me explain it this way: if I don't let my six year old play in the street it's not because I don't trust him, it's because I know his judgment isn't sound enough yet to be exposed to so many variables at once. He would have a good chance of getting hurt or killed; not necessarily because he did something wrong, but also because he didn't know what to watch out for. So, go ahead and be angry if you have to, but I guarantee there will be a day in the not too distant future when you'll be telling someone else the same thing your mother said to you. Awwww a secret romance. Thats so romantic... kinda reminds me of when I was your age and had those too... But now... well same stuff different scenario.

Just tell your mom you like him and that she should trust you since you know whats right and wrong and your not stupid.
