He is quite smart for his age, so it could be for ages 8 and up or something like that. Any type of board game you know of, or something of the like. He is very athletic and active. He likes Monoply, PayDay. In our basement we have every type of game you can imagine. Ping-pong, darts, mini-putting green, basketball hoop game, air-hockey table, you name it. Please help me! It's almost Christmas and I have almost nothing for my son! It would be nice if it was at least slightly educational. Thank you very much and happy holidays.

I have a 7 & an 8 year old - so I hope the gifts we have bought so far help you out... Our 7 year old is still in the 5-7 range & our 8 year old has leaped the maturity level to the 8 - 11 range so maybe our variety will help.

7 year old - Shark Ship Mega Rig, Transformers, Bionicles, Noise-making cars & aircraft, Superhero books (he is into anything he can put together quickly or make lots of noise with...)

8 year old - Plasma ball, Clue - the board game (which he got in gift exchange this weekend & loves...), Hardback Classic Books (Huck Finn, etc...), Mancala Board Game, Magnetix, Skate Board, New Bike (which he has been begging for...lol)

For both we did these: Havoc Helicopters, Puzzles, & a couple driving video games for PS2 & PS3 for the 8 year old & Pokemon for the DS for the 7 year old. Both are still very into HotWheels so we are certain the stockings will have a few of those with some bath bubble toys for the 7 year old & a pretend cell phone - which still fascinates the 7 year old to have a phone like mommy & daddy.

The 8 year old is also into collector cars - such as coca-cola tin trucks, etc... we have an antique fire truck coming for him about 6" tall by 12" long... A DS game that was a hit with the 7 year old is Sonic Hedgehog - no worries about language, gore, etc...very fun & fast.

Get him a video game.
or if your looking for something better,
theres transformers, Knex, magnetix, tons of lego varieties,
or... (this is what i always hoped to find under the tree from santa) you could get him a little hamster or something. Or some kinda gerbil.
or a cool lizard.
unless you dont really like furry or scaly things.
wow i sound like im 7 years old! and im 16!
haha

My 7 year old loves Leggos.... the kits or just the box of blocks themselves. My oldest, who is 9, enjoys Erector Sets and also models... cars, planes, trucks.
