My boyfriend is 50, so I am assuming they are in their 70's....what is a good gift idea for me to get them for Christmas. I cannot afford a whole lot but would like to make a good first impression

How about a tin of cookies ? and a nice card most ppl at that age dont cook or bake anymore so they usually enjoy things like that . good luck and merry christmas .

A movie night basket might be good: gift card for the movie rental place near them, or netflix, microwave popcorn, a box of Goobers and a box of Raisonettes all in one of those movie popcorn bckets which you can get at a restaurant supply or party store.
