I got married about 2 months ago and we spent approx. $20,000 Australian.... so thats like $17,000 USD.

We were within our budget, but I think we probably could have done it cheaper if we tried. We spent most of it on our honeymoon (Fiji) and our reception.

It was loads of fun and I definitely don't regret spending that much; it was well worth it for us.

We had an amazing wedding and spent 35,000-40,000 on it. Yes believe it or not we did stay within our budget. It was also a large wedding with 300+ people in attendance. We rented the groomsmens tuxes and bought the bridesmaids dresses in addition to giving gifts. I designed and made my wedding dress and the rest was flowers, the church and the reception site/catering and wedding and grooms cakes.

Just over 10,000 in northern california. We were lucky we just happen to know the right people who knew the right people and were able to get discounts on dinner, dj and pictures. We were over budget, we were hoping for aroun 7,000 but you get so caught up in the moment. But everything was worth it and i know that 10K isnt much compared to alot of other people.

Less than 1K. We weren't on a budget, just didn't want to have a big or formal wedding; both of us are kind of low-key.

A couple of thousand...we opted to forgoe the huge mega-wedding and instead went to go to Vegas and had a vacation/honeymoon. It was a blast, and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

I live in NY and we spent a little over $20,000 which was a bargain in our area (Long Island). We had everything we wanted and with careful negotiation, we were able to talk our vendors into lowering their prices.
