they are coming out with a new rumble controller very soon. it might actually be out already. bad news is you will have to buy it if you really want it, which is probably not worth it unless you feel you MUST have rumble. i heard they were going to be white or something?

Edit: ok so I don't think it's out but here's an article http://www.innerbits.com/blog/2007/06/14/ps3-controller-with-rumble-in-development/

Not yet... Sony has created a new controller for the PS3 that has both the SixAxis tilt-controls and rumble. They're only available in Japan right now, but will be available in the US in the spring of 2008. They'll probably cost about $60 though... Ouch.

No, I never liked the vibrate function so I don't miss it. The six axis is alright, but the lag seems more than using the stick. Could be that I'm not used to it because the Wii seems to lag a bunch too. Some of my friends didn't like the new controller because they didn't know when they were being "shot" in the back other than the indicators.

Only japanese consoles come with rumble controllers (Dualshock 3 SIXAXIS). Europe, US and other regions are getting only SIXAXIS without rumble. This will change in 2008. Dualshock 3 is coming to those markets too.

No, not yet. They ran into problems in development while using the vibration with the motion sensitive sixaxis controller. When it would vibrate it would move the motion sensors and give you undesired results. It took a little getting used to but once you did you don't even notice it not vibrating anymore.

The standard ones don't yet but there is an aftermarket one due to be available very soon (or it may even be out already).

Sony are expected to include the controllers with vibrate in the PS3 boxes from early next year.

I heard they dont which stinks because it doesnt feel like your shooting a gun or blowing up something. But I also heard that it is lighter.
