No. The passport application does not even ask about criminal history. However, the court may require you to surrender your passport until the case is resolved and any probation is served.
Entering other countries is a different question. Some countries will not allow entry with a criminal background. Canada for instance will send you back home with a DUI.

No, you said you just got it which means you didn't get convicted of it yet.....depends on what alcohol level you registered at that time.... if it is borderline you need a lawyer to get it reduced to maybe a wreck less driving charge.....consult with a lawyer.
