Health has nothing to do with your weight. It's about your composition. Some are predisposed to being heavy. The key is to eat right and exercise. At your age, exercise should consist of some type of school sporting activity. Or get into a hobby that is "active". For example, if you live close to the beach, surfing or something. If you live in the mountains, hiking...whatever. Bottom line, there is no magic pill (yet), but if you maintain an active life style and an adequate diet, then you will achieve tremendous health gains.

Now, if your looking for a certain look...then that's another issue. For example, great looking bodies come with some personal sacrifice. Some experts suggest that the latter bodies are achieved in rather unhealthy ways. So while "x" supermodel is skinny and pretty, she does it by starving herself...not healthy if you ask me. A lot of muscular men gain their muscles as a result of weight supplements and other means (ie. steroids). Also not healthy.

So, what do you mean by "healthy"?

Health is more than just a measurement of weight.

Even so, your height/weight ratio would indicate you're actually underweight.

If you're concerned, talk to your doctor. S/He'll probably just recommend getting more exercise. Even just taking a brisk walk around the block once a day will greatly help with that.

Try not to pay attention to what the TV says is an attractive woman. Being able to count the ribs on a woman is NOT a sign of being healthy! (Besides which, have you ever tried to hug someone like that? It's like hugging a bag full of sharp sticks.)

Health is determined by more than just your weight. You can start loosing weight by cutting out the junk foods, sweets and sodas. Try walking or running, getting your heart beat in the target zone for at least 20-30 minutes. Do that 5-6 days a week. You could also start using some light weights.

To find out whether or not you're ok, you just have to calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index)..instead of giving you a long explanation (which I can't really do since I don't remember everythin from my exercise science class lol) I got a link here, just scroll down and you'll find a calculator right on the site. It's a little tough to determine with your age group because of things like puberty, but the site should help give you a good idea. Hope it helps!

People are so worried about losing weight that it has become disgusting. I'm assuming you're one of those kids that is so worried about what everyone else thinks, but you're not really listening to what YOU think.
Here's the deal, YOU'RE NOT FAT. You may think that you are, but you're not. Why don't you get off your little trip you're on, and instead focus on eating HEALTHY and working out? Build muscle, and fat goes away naturally. You can't just expect for the Fat Fairy to come snap her fingers and make you thinner than you already are. Am I mean? Nope, just being honest and leaving out the BS that everyone else will give you. Now get down and give me 30!!

Hey, wow, you are tall for being 13:) You should be proud of that fact. And I have to ask if you are a guy or a girl. If you are a guy you are underweight.

And if you are a girl you are perfectly healthy. The only thing is that you might, I mean might, appear to be a little chunky only because you are short. That is the curse that us girls have.

South Beach Diet, it works:)

You're a slim teenager. No need to lose weight now. Be sure to eat a balanced diet. Cut out cakes and candies and sodas.

You're perfect! If anything, you might be a bit underweight. Eat a healthy diet, keep active, and make sure not to eat junk food. Your body is going through some changes, but sounds pretty normal.

You should not lose weight. According to a height-weight chart you are actually slightly underweight for your height. I would not worry about it and enjoy your life. Below is the link for the chart.
