5-9/11 - not a word, but because it's such a recent event - and I'm American and it was a very scary thing that we're still trying to make sense of (but we won't - it was senseless) - so please understand that I'm not trying to racist - but the honest answer to your question are these 5 things. I'm sure all of Islam isn't spoken for by the group(s) who are responsible for 9/11 - but that act left an impression nonetheless. I am hoping for peace in the Middle East that results in a general change in the way people were left feeling after 9/11, but it won't happen overnight.
I am not in any way trying to offend, I'm simply being 100% completely honest - to be less than honest would be offensive.
That said, I do know of a few here who adhere to Islam and seem to be very peace-loving people. More like these are needed to be out and about and public - making change - that would help a great deal.
