Sister ever considered the two trees in the garden? One was " the Tree of Life' and the other was " the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil"
Quite striking that the opposite to the tree of Life should be the tree of death.. but no.. it was a tree that was disguised in a way to fool man. And why not.. there was Good on this tree wasn't there?
So can a person be good without God .. sure. But would it be the real thing. One of the issues of the Fruit of the SPirit is Goodness. But this is not a goodness out of our own efforts or steam.. But it comes from God as the source of every positive and wholesome thing on this earth.
When man ate of this tree sister.. something of this tree became his inward constitution. Seemed as though the Evil aspect is expressed in man's flesh.. and the Good part in man's soul. There are many " good" people on this earth.. charitable humanitarians who do good things without the Lord. In eternity the weight is not anything. all our righteousness is as filthy rags. Its still from the wrong " tree".. the one opposite the tree of Life.
Jesus said. He came that we might be good? No dear sister... He said that He came that we might have life and have it abundantly. His life in us is able to be expressed in all good wholesome things. But the source is not us.. it is God.. the genuine lasting article:)
Lets eat of Christ daily as our Tree of Life.

Yes and No. Though an Atheist, for example, can be good, unbeknownst to (unaccepted by) them, it is because God the Holy Spirit is working as their conscience. Without God the Holy Spirit working as a person's conscience, no one would be good -- no not one. The only reason we even have a definition for "good" is because God defined it.
God bless.

You don't even need to bring 'God' into it.
Because do you see God every day? In the flesh, that you know is God? No. No one does.
Religion programs their followers to believe in God, such that their imagination is used to dream up a God they think they can talk to, relate to, etc etc. It is all in their imagination.
People are doing 'good' everyday - even if it is getting up in the morning and doing their job - because we rely upon other people everyday for the rest of our lives - for our food, clothing, shelter, entertainment, etc etc. God does not even come into it.

God doesn't make anyone good in the first place. it's our own decisions that make us good or bad. The fear of Gods hell and promise of heaven cause many people to be good on the outside but not on the inside, creating hypocrites who are not good at all.

Good by who's standards is right.
A person can be "better" than another person.
But all fall short of God.
Which is why He makes such a good measuring stick.

if a person is being good without God, who is he being good for, why is he being good, there is s reason why someone is good, its because one follows and obeys God that is why that person is good.
how did that person know what good is ? its because of God. so ofcourse you cant be good without God, u need God to be good
