Romance means to make love, court or to seek to gain the favor of as by flattery. In line with muslim ethic, romance before marriage is not allowed. Before marriage you can visit her who should be accompanied by her muhrim. You can not meet her only both in a lonely place because the third will be satan.Your desires and lust should be well controlled before marriage..Really romance is still alive in Islam, but it should be developed after you got married..You can only make a romance by praising her before marriage through a letter or orally in front of her and her parents or her brother if you do not ashame..You must practise Qur'an and Hadits to guide your attitude in everyday of life.

first alsalamoalaikom

now romance is a feeling toward the other sex
and it can be used as its bad like kissing and ugging without being married
but the first meaning is what we what
yes ofcouse us muslims have feeling toward the other sex
but we haveto keep them inside and only show them in there time which is marrige

and islam tell us not to look at the other sex so we dont go far in romance or maybe turn it into somthing else

so the morral of my talk is that yes there is romance ut must be used right

thats all

thnx for reading and salamzzz

It has nothing to do with Islam, romance can exist anywhere, there is nothing in islam that prohibits romance,
in fact the prophet Mohammad(pbuh) told muslim men to treat their wives well ,
happy eid to all muslims

In Islam, there are no romance before marriage as to avoid "ma'siat". It's one of the way to preserve the purity and the ride of women. Most romance exists after marriage.

I guess after marriage there is no limit nor objection except for in certain things. Before marriage I guess liking someone is allowed. But since looking at the opposite sex with lust is forbidden (except the mahram) infact just looking is forbidden so there is no chance of romance.

When you are married, yes, it is still there, between the kids, the arguments, all the normal stuff that takes place within a marriage.

But you should know the notion of Romance is a relatively recent development historically.

I starred it for you :)

hehe...go me =D

hmm...romance...in Islam...yeah it is still alive for me...when I get married ( a long time to go yet ) I will love my husband.
and that i guess is a form of romance...you are allowed to love before marriage, the only thing which is wrong is acting upon your feelings.
Say if I had a crush on a guy, that's okay, as long as I didn't take it any further than that....
Romance is still alive...YEY

There is romance between a married couple only. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is very romantic to his wives. According to Aisyah r.a. (one of his wives), he likes to comb her hair, speaks to her nicely, sleeps on her laps and so on. And we must be sincere to the person we love. We love him / her because of God.

romance is just lust and desire its ok to have that in marraige as long as its not based on it. love is definetly alive and thats what a marraige should be based on. but you can still have romance
