After cause then you won't have to worry about buying another gift at the last second. Plus you don't want things to go bad and you break up right before christmas. That would just be depressing, especially when "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" plays on the radio.

I have this tradition that I grew up with because of my parents and find it to be very true as well.. I always clean the house take a shower make sure my bank account and I have money on me before new years eve the way you start your year is the way the rest of the new year will be like.. Like I wear red under wears for better love blue for freshness ext.. but unless you want to start the new year alone and be like that the rest of the year then don't start anything with the other person.. Remember though this is just a new year superstition I have.. Although it is always nice to have someone around in the holidays.. then don't do it because of you not wanting to be alone

AFTER XMAS! The holidays are when most relationships END!

After because if you hook up before, people think you are just trying to get things free. But if you really like him, then timing doesn't matter!

it depends on how you feel about him. if you really like the guy then i say timing doesn't matter ... however if you aren't sure i would wait because that avoids the akward question of whether or not you exchange gifts. good luck.

I think if you had to stop to wonder that question, you need a different guy.

What does it matter? Do it when you want. Not based on holidays!
