to put the solar panels on top of the roof have to wait. We are concerned that they might get hurt. We did get are permit.

It would be pretty tricky to install panels on an icy roof. Also there could be some water leakage into the attic as they are drilling holes for the mounts.

BTW, I had most of my panels mounted over the garage, just in case there was a leak. Sure enough I had one. Was very happy to have it over the garage instead of the attic.

Give the company a call to let them know what your situation is. They will be best able to tell you what conditions are required to install the panels.

They will determine if it is safe. I've had roof people delay a project because of ice.
