Via USB cord, that you've got with PS3. You can plug this cord to PC and charge your controller from PC too.

The Sixaxis can operate wirelessly via Bluetooth and up to 7 simultaneous controllers are supported natively by the console.[1] The controller also features a USB mini-B port, which can be used to connect a USB cable for internal battery charging and synchronisation with the PS3 system. The controller can be seamlessly switched from wireless to wired operation, and is charged automatically upon connection.

THe ps3 console comes with the controller and the USb cord necessary to hook it up to the ps3 or to a computer for charging.

When you buy an extra controller that too comes with a usb cord for hooking up to your console for charging.

When you buy it there should be a wire in the box.
Connect to the controller, and connect it to the front of the Ps3 there's like.. a port where you insert the wire in.

It's kind of small.

Do you have some kinda short cord? If you do, then plug it up to your ps3 (i think you open a panel under the restart button or something) and then plug it into the conrtoller. Ps3s rock so hard!
