Well now, since the "soul that sins" dies (and ALL humans have sinned!) and souls are merely living things and not immortal apparitions apart from the body (as is falsely taught in many Christian religions), the dog "soul" and the human "soul" go to the same place: the grave, where there is no knowledge, etc. No one goes to heaven when they die, and that is biblical. What happens after the resurrection at the end of time is a different story that contains hope.
I wish it were true that my two dogs will be with me in heaven but alas! the Bible does not support the immortal soul fairy tale.

This dovetails with my Mitt Romney Q one spot below this one, lol.
I say the odds of a doggy heaven is equal to that of people heaven.

I hope so - actually I believe that our pets go to heaven with us because they are part of our earthly family. Besides, the Bible mentions the lion lying down with the lamb in the future if they are there - surely our pets are too.
