only the 40gb version cannot play ps1 and 2.
i dont think ps3 is better yet. theres no vibrating controller, not that many games, and you need a high def tv just to see the difference of graphics. if i still had a ps2 i'd see no reason for buying the ps3..... yet

Yes...it's got an internet browser, bluetooth, wi-fi ready, free online play, and it stores and plays .wav, .mp3, and .mp4 files.

Oh, and Daniel S. shouldn't have been so cheap and bought the "backwards compatible" PS3 (like mine), because it does play ALL PSone and PS2 games.

ps3 is only better in hardware, because they can play bluray, dvd, and cd and ps1, ps2, and ps3 games.

ps3 games are nothing compared to ps2 games.
