I eat bread alot. and before i found out that too much of the wrong kind of bread is healthy for you, i was eating normal white bread. but since i love eating bread with my meals. i switched to whole-wheat bread.

I was just wondering is even whole-wheat bread unhealthy for me? will that make me gain weight? ( i dont want to )

No, whole meal is yummy and actually good. It's just when you eat it, you add things to it, right? So, you kind of do not count it. It's the thing that should be there, normally, bread. Like water and air.
But bread has a lot of calories. 235 calories in a 100 grams. Now top it with something and...
Bread adds to the calorie intake substantially. I usually recommend eating it without nothing, just for itself, and when it's fresh. Like a cake. And avoid eating it with other food.
People go on wheat free diet and lose enormous amount of weight on it!

Whole grain bread is what you need. Although all breads are carbs that your body turns to sugars. Try not eating it for your late meals. Eat more protein and veggies at night and carbs in the morning and afternoon. Good luck

Whole wheat is not much better for you than white. The best choice is whole grain, multi-grain, 12 grains, oat bran, etc. Eating too much of any one thing is no good for you, so try to limit yourself on how many slices you eat in one day.
