On December 6th my pekingese was diagnosed with an ulcer on his left eye by my vet. He was prescribed an ointment that needed to be put in two-three times a day. Last night I noticed a white gooey substance on his eye and when I got a closer look, it looked like a bubble was in his eye. I went to put more ointment directly on the bubble and it burst and a clear liquid came out. I called the vet and they want me to bring him back in. Does anyone have an idea what is going on with his eye?

I guess I should add this, he has an appointment to go back at six, I am just worried and maybe thought someone has maybe had the same experience with their pet and could possiblly give me some reassurance.

This is not the kind of question that can be answered on Yahoo Answers. There are no vets on here, we haven't seen the dog's eye and we haven't got a clue about eye the progression of eye ulcers.

I know you just want reassurance, but you're best to wait until the vet has seen the dog rather than taking on board advice from people on here - they may mean well but there is no possible way they can say anything helpful.

Ask that question of your VET! Not of unqualified strangers on the internet. Don't waste more time - get that dog to the vet. This is his EYESIGHT you are talking about. Of course the vet wants you to bring him back in! Why would you even question that?! He needs to see your dog to help him!
