I don't pick on them, in fact I have very good friends who are Christians and we rarely if ever talk about our beliefs, when we do it is with respect.
However, here in R&S it's a different story altogether, here we come to ask questions and answer them, if we disagree, we do it openly and frankly, because we are here for that specific purpose.

Also, christians are not the only ones pick on, what about mulsims?!

Are you kidding? I've spent a lot of time here. From what I can see EVERYONE gets picked on. Muslims are called terrorists, Pagans are deemed crazy hippis, Agnostics are considered to not consider anything, and so on. The only reason it seems that Christians are picked on more is because there are more questions on here having to do with Christianity. Sort of like this:
x number of Christianity-related questions= x number of Christianity-related bashings
y number of Scientology-related questions- y number of Scientology-related bashings.
x just happens to be more than y.

In America it is more likely because we are christian based. More people are educated about Christianity than any other religion and you can't really pick at a religion you know nothing about.

They are not getting abused all that much. If you follow who is posting what you will realize that there are as many Christian trolls as there are atheist trolls.
As for the Evolution questions and Pascal's Wager questions, they get asked so often and answered so often that it has become a joke. Often those questions are being asked overand over by the same people. Sometimes when it is slow the atheists will amuse themselves by posting really dumb religion questions that imitate the Fundamentalists.
They often display poor typing when they do it. Spell check is your friend.

i dont think everyone picks on them. 76% of the u.s. is comprised of christians. and christianity is certainly the most popular religion in the world. categorically, there are more christians worlwide than any other group of people. so thats kind of an "un logical" question. personally, i dont like ignorant people, religious or not. i truly believe that the very act of believing something to be true that has no proof, scientific or otherwise, is, in fact, an act of ignorance.

i see anyone being equally "picked" on. But for some reason christians are more irrational than atheist. (and no i'm not an atheist)
but it seems christians are always bashing atheist and can't let them be. Atheist also do this, but don't pressure others.
Why do SOME christians feel that they must press their beliefs on others?

While they're not the only ones that get picked on, I see your point. I think it's because at this point in time (particularly in the U.S.), no other religion manages to permeate our government, educational system, etc. Bush hasn't exactly helped either.

Also, there are so many inconsistancies in the bible that many people find it impossible to take seriously.

No, we're very democratic and pick on all religionists equally.

It only seems that Christians get picked on more because there are far more Christians posting nonsense on here than members of other religions. But I certainly see plenty of barracking of Muslims when they post nonsense too.

Hope that reassures you.

Because they are most vocal and can be very annoying in pushing those opinions. They frequently go into questions directed at atheists, pagans, witches and heathens and preach - saying that all of those groups are going to hell, which has nothing to do with the question.

You'll find that "picking" works both ways on all sides. Atheists can be jerks, pagans can be jerks, Christians can be jerks - there's more Christians than others and the atheists can be very vocal - it balances.

because some see christians as a threat to society, some may see christians as the majority in the world and as a taoist its just wrong to attack someone based on faith period, but mostly its the good that you see christians doing, but also "not doing" that persues such hatred towards them.

think of it like this, why has there been a huge boom with christian involvment in isreal in the last 15 years? mainly because islam is slowly inching its way into the "holy land" and those with a jewdeo christian foundation believe its a "threat".
