It's against God if you do this while having unclean or impure thoughts about another person or use porn to help obtain these feelings.....I'm sure God would want us to not do this because it causes us to have selfish, self-seeking feelings about our own pleasures and our selfish nature could cause us not to have a healthy relationship with the person that God has for us to enjoy these feelings with. God really wants us to find these feelings in a Godly blessed relationship such as marriage between a man and a woman. This relationship ordained by God is where these feelings and desires should be.

Catholicism considers masturbation a sin, but most of them don't know why.

There are still parts of the Jewish Torah that were never adopted by Christians and never recorded in the Old Testament or anywhere in the Bible. In Jewish lore, Adam's first wife was actually Lilith, who was made from the dust of the earth just as Adam was, making them equal. Because of her equality, Lilith refused to take a submissive position in the relationship, which eventually lead to her banishment from Eden. She is said to have become the Mother of the Damned or the Queen of the Succubi. Men are told never to "spill their seed," interpreted by Roman Catholics to mean masturbation or protected sex, as any semen not intended for human impregnation is gathered by Lilith who uses it to impregnate herself and give birth to demons.

But really, masturbation is a healthy exercise. For men especially, those who masturbate more between the ages of 17 and 25 are dramatically less likely to develop testicular cancer later in life.

Think of it as a muscle. If you never use it, it will eventually atrophy.

So go ahead, have fun!

Masturbation is good for your physical health. But it is against Christian values. This page makes some great points, and I recommend that you read it before deciding for yourself.

Rom 14:22 says "Hast thou faith? Have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth." If you can masterbate and not become to envolved with it, just like anything and you are not condemned in your own mind then I believe it's ok. If it were not ok you know that the bible would have plainly spoke about it. But I think it doesn't because it's something between you and God.

No, however, some have interepred OT scripture that it was forbidden "to spill one's seed". But this appears to be taken out of context, and the correct interpretation is that it is forbidden for a husband to avoid having sex with his wife - which would be wrong.

Growing up catholic, anything that has to do with enjoyment of sexuality was a sin. Unless you were married, then it was okay.

I would think so. I think it mentions somewhere in the bible that you musn't pleasure yourself. But hey, your not gonna live forever, everyone does it. Why not enjoy what you have now.
