okay so god knows everything and what can and will happen right?

so if he knows that some of us arent going to believe in him then why would he let us be born and then go to hell later? I mean if he knows who'll accept him and who wont then why didnt he keep us from being born so we wont have to suffer after we die?

sounds kind of evil to me...

okay please read the question again and THINK about it.

what you say will make sense if he's not omniponent. but if he is omniponent then its kind of evil.

Well omnipotence is the perfection of being all powerful.

I think the term you're looking for is omniscient (all knowing).

I see your point though and I do agree.

God created all man to have eternal life. When i was a Christian I contually asked myself the SAME question. Hell was NEVER created for man. The whole doctrine of hell was about not being allowed into the KINGDOM of God which was the government only for thoes in the 12 tribes of Isriel. It was an analogy of a great missed opprotunity. To be Damned was to be blocked from from the great honor of being in that kingdom. But it was not a LITERAL place where people will be punished forever and ever on coals like Christians will tell you to scare you into knowing CHRIST.

The evil is not God allowing you to live. The evil is you rejecting God's infinite Love offer and unmerited pardon.

In fact, the Scripture says that God says "I do NOT take pleasure in the death of the wicked." He said "I don't want ANY to perish in hell, but that ALL should come to repentance!"

He cried out, "I have set before you life and death, blessings and cursings. Choose Life that you may live!" (Jesus said "I am Life!")

And again, "How can we escape hell if we neglect so great a salvation?"

YOU choose, YOU pay the consequence. God is doing everything to get you to NOT go to hell, but you reject Him.

You remind me of the story of the guy who had a terminal disease that caused excrutiating pain, but would not allow him to die prematurely. A doctor came along and told him he had a cure, and that it was free. The guy with the disease mocked the doctor, and continued in his pain, then blamed that very doctor for his pain!

As far as God's omniscience, He knows the end results of each and every possible choice you can make. But it's up to you to make that choice yourself! Don't blame God for YOUR rebellion!

Consider this: If God IS omnipotent and omniscient, that means he knows BEFORE he creates your soul whether it will be "saved through belief" or not. Why then does he purposely create something as beautiful as a human soul, specifically to sentence it to eternal torture? The bottom line answer from Christians will be "Gods reasons are mysterious and are not for us mere mortals to understand."

Because he is giving us a chance to believe in Him. We have the will to do so or not.

However, I think the basis of going to heaven vs. hell is our behavior rather than our religion. If so, then we decide how we behave, and God obviously has no control over our behavior (free will), so we choose our own fate.

Because HE granted us with free will and we make the choice. But, GOD does choose whom he wills to find the right path and who HE doesnt, and thats for reasons beyond my knowing. GOD knows what I know not, so it has to be a good reason even though we cant comprehend with it at the moment.

Good question. I always wondered why he had to pawn off some of his work onto satin anyway. He made satin and can easily take him out (if he wanted to).

I just think we are a giant science expiriment

GOD loved you enough to give you freedom to live your life the way you wanted, and is patient enough to give you several chances to find the truth, which HE sent in HIS Son, CHRIST JESUS. But at the same time, HE did not force you to love HIM. See you are not yet old enough, nor are you a caring parent, because in this is the epitome of unconditional love, which The Father GOD has for all of us. Yes even you, Nasty Agnostic.. GOD Loves you more than you love yourself and is waiting for you to see the truth before it's too late.

Wow, that somehow does not sound so evil, but then satan wants you to believe otherwise. So to you, I say this.

It is better to live your life as though it were true, and find out it is not, than to live your life as if it were not true and find out it is, only to have it be too late. For if you have lived according to HIS Divine Word, you hurt no one, not even yourself, but to not live that way can surely cause your soul to burn whether you BELIEVE it or Not. Church!
