I remember at my first communion (in the second grade) thinking the communion wafer tasted the way my brother's sweat socks smelled after he played basketball all day.

I never was a very good Catholic.

Bleached white bread with very little nutrients. If one were to put rats on a diet of communion wafer bread and water for 30 days, the rats would die from starvation.

Nutritionally speaking, communion wafers are of the devil.

Wine (alcoholic) is deemed also not to be a good nutritional role model for children around the world.

Kind of like Wonderbread, after it's been ironed. The whole wheat version at least has some texture.
