You don't have to keep them in the fridge. They will last for weeks in a cool dry place.

If you refrigerate it, then it will go bad within a week, especially if it's not peeled down to the onion.
Produce like that shouldn't be put in the fridge, just leave it in a bowl or basket away from the heat. That way, it'll last for about a month before it starts growing by itself.

They last two weeks in the fridge, I find they preserve better than the dark cool room.

Put it in a open box under shade, not in your fridge. It won't keep in your fridge.

A few weeks at least (if it's uncut). If anything it will dry up and shrivel. But, I don't think it will go bad unless it's bruised.

Depends on how old they are when you buy them. They maintain pretty well either please fridge or not. They are good until they turn black. Theres your sign. haha
