He came to serve.. not to be served. He was humble and even though He came from the Line of David.our Lord had simple beginnings..spanning from the high to the lowly.
What a wonderful Savior portrayed in such a marvelous way in all 4 gospels.
As King ( matthew)
Slave ( mark)
Man ( Luke)
God ( john)
Sweet reminder and question brother Jed
In Christ

You are right, they did expect a huge, grand announcement, that is why the Jewish people had a hard time believing he was the Messiah. He wanted to come to earth and walk with the people, on their level, lets say. To be among them, and spend time with them, but remember he came as the sacrifice, and that is what he told his disciples. There were alot of people that believed he was the promised one the Messiah. At the Second Coming there will not be any doubt in anyones mind who He is then. The Trump of God will sound, and Jesus will be leading the Saints on a White Horse, The whole world will see him.

I notice that you ask Christians a question and immediately get an answer from an atheist telling you that you are a fool. When will they stop proselytizing? Now back to your question. God does not need to impress so He uses the humble to do His work. He is the God for everyone. If He immediately showed Himself to the Royalty and important people He would quickly have been seen as a God just for them.

Do you forget about the other events surrounding the birth of the savior. the star shining brightly over the manger where he was born. An angel appearing is pretty big to me. Also remember all things were done to fulfill the prophecy.

I find it very encouraging. Christ in his Love allowed himself to be emptied of his heavenly glory to come to earth. He did not come as a King but as a servant. Christ preached his Gospel while on earth and than allowed himself to be crucified as a sacrifice for the sins of man. Why would he be willing to do this for man? I really dont know. His love surpasses all understanding.

what GOD do is to show love beyond what the human mind can understand and he leave it up to us as believers to see that he (god) is not into the show off things like man but he show himself by what we see everyday ,the sun ,moon, stars our breathing keeping our body working even without letting us know that something was wrong he just fixes the problem or he let us see a doc no matter how lowly his birth was his purpose is wonderful

well all it tells me how misinformed your message is, and that it belittles a faith that you dont know much about. i find it very encouraging to know that my God doesn't need the flashy entrance and keeps a humble focus on the important things.

It tells us he was humble. Yes, I find it encouraging. We are also told in scripture to be humble. He was our finest example.
