He certainly may have been married. We'll never know, because the council of Nicaea made sure that no books that made Jesus look like a normal man were included in the bible.

I know several people that believe he was married and had children.
ALSO, the Mordovians, or Hapsburgs, or some European families belive they are his actual descendants, don't remember who it is. Their was a guy by the name of J.R. Church that had a book about the European family things.
It would not bother me if he had been married and had children. I do not think it would take anything away from who he was. At this time I do not believe he did. There are a few 'old testament' writings that are supposed to be prophecies of the Messiah and they mention his children, our suggest a spouse and the marriage feast is said by some to be his actual marriage, though this seems late in life to me, especially for that day and age. It is said in extrabiblical writings of Jashur I think it is that Jacob at 40 married rachel who was 10 at the time, at least according to that writing.

Marriage was not part of the plan. Jesus came to teach and to pay the price for our sins. He knew that He was not going to be here long enough to get married and have a family. He was aware that once his mission was completed that he was going to return to the Father. Who then would provide for his family??? I would say that Jesus was a lot more responsible than to marry and then go and leave his family destitute.

We aren't so sure he wasn't.... in fact, we aren't so sure that jesus isn't a combination of several people. Jesus was a common name and there were literally dozens of prophets running around Palestine during that time, all trying to fit into one prophecy or another by one tribe or anothers' holy book... (Jesus is simply the one that lasted within one tribe of many starving shepherds living in the Middle East at the time).

I say Jesus WAS able to commit and was in fact married. Perhaps you're really wondering why some churches want you to believe he was not married.

John the baptist was a nazarite, they were dedicated to god and did not get married, Jesus was the nazarite par exellence, He came to live and die for all of mankind when He got to about the age of 33, that was His purpose, besides teaching, to make the saving self sacrifice for all men and to teach that there is a life after death, one way of teaching that is by not getting married

Of course he was married.
Christ was perfect not only because he was the son of God, but because he kept ALL of his Father's commandments. -That's the reason why he was able to die for us and it be efficacious for our salvation (lamb without blemish). What's the first commandment God gave to man? "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it...." -Gen 1:26
Obviously, that requires marriage (Gen 2:24) because God wouldn't command them to fornicate.
Christ was perfectly obedient to Heavenly Father, hence he kept every commandment. If he was not married, then he did not obey all his Father's commandments and hence was not perfect. For all those who said Jesus was not married, you also say that he was not perfect.
It was also a commandment to have children (be fruitful, multiply).
For the life of me I don't know why this is so offensive to some people?
Best Wishes,
Rusty

I think Jesus was too busy to get married. Catholic priests are supposedly following this example.
I think that Joseph was thought to be older than Mary, and may have had children. (explains references to Jesus' brothers)

Yeah, so ! God is not exempt from divine laws !! Remember the parable about the king taxing his own sons.
Not marrying is not equal to not committing unless you're supposed to be married. You are begging the question.

Some people think that Jesus was married (possibly even to Mary Magdalene). Watch 'The Da Vinci code ' (which is just a story, but points out a lot of the different theories, some with more basis in reality than others).
Then there is the idea that in order to live a 'perfect' life that Jeebuz couldn't stick his wee-wee in any hoo-ha's.
Which has led to sexually repressed clergy in some churches.
