Wash your potatoes thoroughly. Then (while they're wet), sprinkle Lawry's Seasoning Salt all over them.
One potato in the microwave takes about 7 minutes on HIGH. If you're doing 2, make it 9 min., if you're doing 3, make it 11 min., so on and so forth.
In the oven, you can season them with the seasoning salt, wrap 'em in foil, and bake for about 45 minutes on 350-375 degrees (lets say you're doing 4 or more).
Anyway, once they're done, put butter on them, then add sour cream, then bacon bits. They're awesome. Sometimes that's what I'll have for lunch, is just a straight-up baked potato.

You can bake several potatoes at a time in both the oven and the microwave. The oven one will taste baked - the microwaved one will taste steamed and the texture will be different than the oven one. It will take longer in the microwave but not the oven.
For the oven - 400º for 45 minutes to 1 hour. If you are planning on eating the skins, then rub them with oil to crisp them and poke them 4-5 times with the tines of a fork. Place them right on the oven rack - not in foil.
A good recipe can either be potato salad (after they are cooled) or twice-baked potatoes. For the twice-baked potatoes, hollow out the potato "innards" leaving just enough around the edges and bottom to hold it's shape. (you can do this with your microwaved potatoes too). Place the "innards" in a bowl, add a little butter, sour cream, chives, black pepper, salt (if your butter isn't salted), bacon bits or cooked and crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar or cojack cheese. Mix all together and place back into the potato shell. At this point, you can refrigerate them to heat when your company arrives or it's time for dinner or put them on a cookie sheet and freeze them. Once they are frozen, remove and place in a zip lock bag. That way you can pull them out one-at-a-time for when you want to eat them. Heat in a 350º oven until bubbly and lightly golden on top.
You can also use the "innards" for mashed potatoes and save the outer part for potato skins. If you do those, just mix together sour cream, chives, cooked bacon pieces and shredded cheese and heat under the broiler to bubble the cheese and heat everything up.
Enjoy!

yes u can bake several at a time in your oven. Wrap in foil and bake for about 45 minutes until fork tender.Or u can put one in the microwave (not in foil) and nuke for about 10 minutes. My favorite recipe is baked in the oven, take out let cool. Than slice potatoes in halves and scoop out the insides, add milk, butter, chopped broccoli salt and pepper and mash. Than add the mixture back into the pocket of the potato place on baking sheet and put back in oven for 15 minutes. Sprinkle cheese (any kind u like) and cook another five minutes or until cheese melts. This is a delicious side dish and prepared fresh.

Hello,
Recipe for baked potato, all one needs is a potato.
Put several washed with holes stuck in the potato's into a plastic bag, tie it off and stick into microwave. Ours has a potato setting. They are done when squishy. Make sure when opening the bag you have something on your hand so you do not burn yourself.
We put ranch dressing on with butter and bacon if we have it. We eat a lot of these, there quick and easy.
BTW;
For 4 good sized potato's it takes about 10 minutes. Depends on your microwave. No time at all!

Preheat the oven to about 350. Wash the potatoes and dry them. Poke holes in them with a fork, wrap them securely in one layer of foil. Place them in the oven and bake for about 30 - 45 minutes depending on the size of the potatoe. To check them, take a hot pad and squeeze them gently. If they feel "soft" they are done. It doesn't matter how many you bake at one time.
You can do it in the microwave, but they don't come out as well. And you can't use foil.

I love the bacon & baked bean potatoe recipe here it goes:
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS:
4 large baking potatoes, scrubbed and washed
4 oz. baked beans
8 slices backbacon, diced
2 cups cheese, grated (whatever cheese you like)
seasoning to taste
margarine or butter for mashing potato
METHOD:
Preheat oven to 400 F (200 C). Bake potatoes for 1 hour until skins are slightly browned and crisp.
Meanwhile, dry fry bacon pieces for 5 minutes until crisp. Add baked beans and seasoning to taste. Cook about 5 minutes.
Remove potatoes and cut each one in half. Divide butter or margarine between each half and mash into potatoes.
Put halves on serving plates and spoon baked bean mixture on top. Sprinkle with cheese and return to oven. Bake 5 minutes until cheese is bubbling. Serve hot as a great lunch or quick family dinner.
You can add some sour cream if you'd like, this recipe is easy and delicious! **

lol there's no recipe... you rinse them, then stick them in a 350 degree oven for an hour ... you can do it in a microwave and heat them up for like 6 minutes then rotate and do that til you can easily stick a fork in them ... of course you can do more than one at a time... that's in the oven, in the microwave it'll take longer
